The Rotary Club of Dexter is where neighbors, friends, and problem-solvers share ideas, join leaders, and take action to create lasting change in our community and beyond.
Our members are drawn from diverse backgrounds with one common interest – – helping our community thrive. You may know us best for hosting the Memorial Day Parade and creating playhouses of famous Dexter landmarks, but our most important purpose is to enhance the community though the causes we have supported in our 23 years of service including scholarships to DHS students, the STRIVE program (supporting Dexter Alternative High School students), a therapy dog (Dexter) for the middle school, sponsoring foreign exchange students, civic tree planting, the Dexter Community Garden, CIRCLES, Faith in Action, SRSLY, Shop with a Cop, Dexter Daze, Dexter Chamber of Commerce Music in the Park, and many others.
You find us in your churches, sporting events, band concerts, and anywhere you are in the community. Education and children are important to us and to the future of the Dexter community. We are always looking for community members who are seeking to live out our “Service Above Self” motto. Come join us at one of our morning meetings to see who we are and what we do.
Rotary has 7 main areas of focus:
- Promote peace
- Fight disease
- Provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
- Maternal and child health
- Support education
- Grow local economies
- Protect the environment
- We provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
- Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
