A Sensory Meditative Journey
January 15, 2022 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am
Free
We invite you to join Mindful Dexter for a unique in-person guided mindfulness meditation practice and discussion, centered on the experience of touch. At this masked, ticketed, socially distant event, each attendee will receive a small goody bag with sensory items that will be incorporated into the practice, fostering a shared experience. Come with an open and curious mind. You will be greeted in a warm, welcoming way and invited to savor present moments of exploration, without judgment. Whether you’re new to meditation or a seasoned meditator, you are welcome! The event is geared for adults as well as youth age 12 or older.
We’re very grateful to the Dexter District Library for hosting this event in the beautiful community space of the building’s lower level! The library currently requires registration for all indoor/in-person events, so if you plan to attend, YOU MUST REGISTER via this link. Registrants will need to register all members of their party. Only pre-registered attendees will be seated. To provide for adequate social distancing, the number of in-person attendees is limited. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated.
For those who register: masks are required while in the meeting room. Thank you for helping to keep this event as safe as possible for all who attend!
PLEASE ALSO NOTE that we are monitoring our area’s COVID situation closely, and there’s a possibility that we may shift this event to online. If that happens, we will email you at least two days prior.
