St. Joe’s Chelsea offers a Community Resource Directory to help individuals find free or reduced cost resources for basic needs, including food, rent, child care and more..

CARES Hotline: (734)544-3050

The county CARES line is available to all residents 24 hours a day, every day, thanks to an 8 year Public Safety and Mental Health millage which passed in 2019. CARES gives people real time connections and support for mental health, substance, and treatment services, and also offers staff counseling onsite services in Chelsea, Dexter, Manchester and Jackson.

Michigan 2-1-1

Michigan 2-1-1 is an easy way to connect with help of all kinds, right in your community. Need help with food, housing, or paying bills? Need support in a family crisis or community disaster? Enter your county and get connected at any time of the day or night. Specific resources are listed for counseling services, Crisis Support, Mental Health Services, and Substance Abuse Services.
