If you own a small business, direct a department in a large corporation, or manage a volunteer team at a local non-profit, Working Well may be a resource for you and your workforce. Worksite wellness has been around for decades, but the workplace has changed, and your employees may be looking for new programs that support both their physical and mental well-being.
What is the value proposition for business owners to explore topics that support employee wellness? Some studies show that it helps with employee retention. Other research suggests that creating a more positive workforce culture shows employees you care about their health. Workplace wellness can even improve employee team building, productivity, and absenteeism. It’s a win-win.
Working Well is a new offering from 5 Healthy Towns Foundation (5HF) and our healthcare partners. By working together, we can connect you with free and low-cost resources that cultivate a healthy workforce and encourage employees in their wellness journey. Many employers want to tackle wellness and mental health issues head on, but simply don’t know where to begin. Working Well can help you find resources that work for you.
In collaboration with our wellness centers, community mental health agencies, and local healthcare providers, 5HF is taking the lead to support positive work environments which promote healthy workforces and healthy practices. For more than a decade, 5HF’s commitment to cultivating personal and community wellness has demonstrated the many paths to well-being. Today, we are expanding our efforts to reach individuals where they spend a significant amount of time – at work; by helping employers to consider their significant role in the process.
